How to use proxies with Octo Browser

Octo Browser stores proxies centrally and assigns them per profile, with the fingerprint generated to be internally consistent. Matching the proxy's country to the profile's declared locale is what keeps that consistency intact.

Setup

  1. 1

    Save the proxy

Add the proxy in the proxy manager with its type, host, port and credentials so it can be reused. Replace PROXY_HOST, PROXY_PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD with the endpoint and credentials shown in your seamless dashboard.

  2. 2

    Assign it to a profile

Select the saved proxy when creating a profile, keeping one address per profile.

  3. 3

Let the fingerprint follow the IP

Enable the options that derive timezone and geolocation from the proxy, so the declared and actual locations cannot contradict each other.

  4. 4

    Test before use

Open the profile, load an IP-check page and confirm the country and fraud score before logging into anything.

Octo Browser proxy FAQ

Does Octo Browser support SOCKS5?

Yes. HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies can all be saved and assigned per profile.

Why does my profile still get flagged with a good proxy?

The IP is only one signal. A mismatch between the profile's timezone, language or WebRTC configuration and the proxy's country is frequently what triggers a flag, as is reusing browser storage from a previously banned account.

How many profiles can share one proxy?

One, if the accounts must remain unlinked. Shared addresses are among the most reliable association signals platforms have.
