How to use proxies with Multilogin
Multilogin assigns a proxy per browser profile in the profile's proxy settings, so each identity keeps its own exit IP. Pairing one profile with one dedicated ISP proxy is what stops platforms linking accounts to each other.
Recommended for Multilogin
ISP proxies — Each profile needs one stable, trusted address it can log in from indefinitely — a rotating IP would make the account look like it moves city every session.

- 1
Create a browser profile
Add a new profile in Multilogin and pick the operating system and browser core you want the fingerprint to present.
- 2
Enter the proxy details
In the profile's proxy section choose HTTP or SOCKS5, then enter the host, port, username and password. Replace PROXY_HOST, PROXY_PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD with the endpoint and credentials shown in your seamless dashboard.
- 3
Align the fingerprint with the IP
Set the profile's timezone, locale and WebRTC handling to match the proxy's country. A German IP with a US timezone is a stronger signal of automation than either value alone.
- 4
Verify before signing in
Launch the profile and load an IP-check page. Confirm the address, country and fraud score are what you expect, and only then log into the account the profile is for.
- 5
Keep one profile on one IP
Do not move a profile between addresses once an account is established. The stability of the address over time is a large part of what makes the account look legitimate.
Multilogin proxy FAQ
Which proxy type is best for Multilogin?
Dedicated ISP proxies, because each profile needs an address that stays the same across sessions. Rotating residential IPs undermine the point: an account that appears from a different city on every login looks less trustworthy, not more.
Can I use one proxy for several Multilogin profiles?
You can technically, but it defeats the isolation. Platforms link accounts by shared IP, so profiles sharing an address can be associated with each other even with perfect fingerprint separation.
Does Multilogin support SOCKS5 proxies?
Yes. Both HTTP and SOCKS5 can be selected per profile, and seamless proxies support either protocol on the same credentials.
