How to use proxies with Proxy SwitchyOmega

SwitchyOmega stores proxy profiles in Chrome and switches between them from the toolbar, with auto-switch rules that can send specific domains through specific proxies.

Setup

    Install the extension

    Add Proxy SwitchyOmega from the Chrome Web Store.

    Create a proxy profile

    Create a new profile of type Proxy Profile, set the protocol to HTTP or SOCKS5, and enter the host and port. Replace PROXY_HOST, PROXY_PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD with the endpoint and credentials shown in your seamless dashboard.

    Save the credentials

    Open the authentication dialog for the profile and store the username and password so Chrome does not prompt on every request.

    Add auto-switch rules, optionally

    An Auto Switch profile can route named domains through the proxy and leave everything else on the direct connection.

    Apply and check

    Select the profile from the toolbar and load an IP-check page to confirm the exit address.

How do I add proxy authentication in SwitchyOmega?

Open the profile, use the authentication option next to the proxy entry, and save the username and password there. Stored this way, Chrome will not display a login prompt for the proxy.

Can SwitchyOmega use different proxies for different sites?

Yes. Create an Auto Switch profile with condition rules that map domain patterns to specific proxy profiles, with a default for everything unmatched.

Does SwitchyOmega support SOCKS5?

Yes, SOCKS4, SOCKS5, HTTP and HTTPS are all selectable per profile.
