Proxy types

What is Datacenter Proxy?

A proxy hosted on cloud or server infrastructure rather than an ISP. It is the fastest and cheapest proxy type but the easiest for sites to detect.

Datacenter proxies live in the same server halls as ordinary web hosting. They have no consumer connection in the path, so they deliver the lowest latency and the highest throughput of any proxy type, and they cost the least per IP.

Their weakness is that this origin is public information. The address blocks belonging to hosting providers are catalogued, and any site that cares can check an incoming IP against those ranges and refuse it. On heavily defended targets a datacenter IP may be blocked before it sends a single meaningful request.

That makes them the right tool for a specific set of jobs: hitting APIs, scraping sites with little or no bot defence, load testing, SEO rank tracking and any bulk transfer where volume and speed matter more than looking like a household visitor.
